So, I decided I wanted to buy a purse on eBay. I found several that I liked, so I bid. And I lost the first. So I bid on another. And lost. And a third. And lost. Finally yesterday I won a really cute Burberry tote for over half off retail. (Yes for you skeptics, it's real, it had tags and a serial number and the original pouch). I was really excited. Then, this morning, I get an email from the seller saying she has to cancel our transaction because she LOST THE BAG. Why are you selling something when you don't even know where it is?!?! Why couldn't you cancel the auction, or make a note somewhere so I didn't pay like a diligent eBay buyer. Ugh. She still hasn't refunded my money, and she canceled our transaction this morning. I'm going to go on a rampage if this takes much longer.
In other online shopping news, I was purchasing another item (I can't say what because it's a gift), and the order malfunctioned twice before it worked, but it still charged me all three times! I sent an angry email, and they took care of it. Don't mess with me. I'll cut you. Just kidding. But seriously.
So, the "snowstorm" came, I suppose. We got maybe 2 inches. Maybe. The roads are a snowy slushy mess, but it's ok because I have 4 wheel drive! Woo, floor it and brake at the last second! Just joking, I still drove slowly. It does feel nice to have the extra safety though.
Alright, I'm starving. I wish you all far better eBay and online shopping than me!

Snow?
It's supposed to snow this week. We'll see if that actually happens. The weather people here like to say it's going to snow, and then, oh, it doesn't. Of course it couldn't be winter wonderland over Christmas break when I was at home with nothing to do. Now that I have to go to class and stuff, we might actually have a real snowstorm. Oh well.
I got to see Ratch and Leah this weekend. We had lunch at la Madeleine and tried on bridesmaid dresses. The dress that had originally been chosen definitely didn't work for Ratch and me (can we say modesty piece?), but we picked out another that we think will look good on everyone! Now to lose the weight to look good in it. I was a huge fan of the mother of the bride ensembles (just have an open mind!), but Leah vetoed it. I forgave her ;) Then we went and Leah picked out her invitations! They're really classic and pretty, and the colors look really good together. BOOM! Oh how I love my girls.
I'm watching Tool Academy right now. If you haven't watched, you should. This show is full of hot messes and trainwrecks. If you're looking for an hour of life where you don't have to think, then this is the show for you. My favorite is Matsuflex and his Matsu Man Panties. That's right.
Let's see, what else. This is a jumbled mess of an entry, but that's how I feel right now. I've been driving all day and I'm tired and my brain isn't really working. And, I fear I'm getting sick. My mom was sick this weekend, and I feel it coming on. Stay away germs! Ok, my Trainwreck Sunday is continuing in a few minutes with Rock of Love Bus!

I'm back!
After a lengthy absence, which I'm sure all 1-2 of my loyal readers were devastated about, I have returned to the internets blogging machine. So, let us get caught up, shall we?
I went to Vegas last week. My first ever Vegas trip. It was fun. I'm pretty sure I lost money, but I didn't want to count so I'll never know how much. All I know is that I came home with a pretty 100 dollar bill. I'm pretty sure I didn't leave with that much, so all is well. That just goes to show how little money I have. Ha. I love and hate the Wheel of Fortune slot machine. All I want is to get a free spin for bonus money, and I'll waste endless amounts of money until I do. So by the time I do get a bonus spin, and I win like 100 bucks, I've already spent close to 200 just trying to get the damn spin. Ugh. But, it was fun regardless. I saw Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. I LOVE Phantom. Makes me happy to think about. I also saw the guy the owns the Moonlight Bunny Ranch, and some of his *ahem* ladies. Personally, of all the games you can play in Vegas, one of my faves was "spot the hooker." It was harder when I was there, because the porno convention was also in town, so it was difficult to distinguish between porn stars and hookers, but I did my best. I definitely saw a transaction or two going down.
Let's see, what else. Oh, don't EVER fly US Airways. They always have Gremlins in their planes. (I promise, that's what the pilot called them once). I've always had issues with them, and this flight was no different. We sat on the plane for almost 45 minutes while they did paperwork for a burnt out lightbulb. 45 minutes for PAPERWORK. As I told Leah, remind me that next time I change a lightbulb, I need to write a ten page report about it. She told me it needed to be double spaced with 1" margins. I'll get on that! Anyway, so after the delay, we spent the whole day on a (literally) 95 degree airplane. The frigid blasts of air in KC were actually welcome. Oh, and then 4 days later US Airways flies one of their planes into the Hudson. I guess those people actually had to put the safety demonstration to work. Those people were actually sliding down the inflatable slides off the wings. I never thought in the event of a water landing that would actually happen. I just assumed if we were going down in water, the plane would sink and we'd have to use our handy dandy life vests. If something like that happened to me, I'd be screwed, I never pay attention to that crap. They say to give your undivided attention, but I like to see what's new in SkyMall (one of these days, I WILL order the world's biggest crossword puzzle. You know, the one that takes up a whole wall). So, anyway, I'd end up tugging on my seat cushion like it was an airmask or something of that nature. Meanwhile, the unattended child next to me would suffocate because you're supposed to help yourself first.
SO, school. It started on Thursday. But, I don't have class on Fridays or Mondays, and Monday is MLK day anyway, so no class until Tuesday! Hooray. This semester will be like all the others, annoying and long. Law school is amazing and I recommend it to all. *edit* I made that part up.
Ok, well I guess I've written enough of a catchup, especially for a Friday. I was feeling lazy tonight, so here I am blogging. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

The Biggest Loser
Happy Tuesday everyone. After spending a few days in St. Louis, I am back in Columbia until Thursday, when I leave for VEGAS. It's almost impossible to type that without making it caps lock. See...Vegas. Eh. VEGAS! Sounds so much more fun.
Anyhoo, so St. Louis. It was fun, minus me having one of the most failure-ific days of my life on Sunday. I don't like to lose, at anything, so it was a difficult pill to swallow. First, I lost three straight games of bowling. In two of them I didn't even break a 100. The days of me consistently getting between 140-180 are gone I suppose. To be replaced with suckage. Also not a real word, but it is now. Then, we were like "let's check out the arcade." Bring on more losing. I lost on a last second shot in skee ball, and thanks to at least three, probably four goals that I gracefully scored in my own goal, I lost at air hockey. My only victory of the evening was winning 200 tickets in "Deal or No Deal," which had I traded them in would have won me a plastic Hannah Montana ring, or something similar. Jackpot.
Then we went home, and the losing continued. I hesitate to even say what we were playing, because I'm sure any one of my three readers will be like "you don't even have to lose at the game, you're a loser for even playing," but whatever. There was nothing to do, and nothing on TV, so we played Risk. Yes, Risk. And to make it better, it was on the computer. After doing all the work on one of the other players, Scott knocked him out, and then proceeded to kill me because apparently my soldiers are a bunch of children. Another loss for me. So, to continue the streak, we played Monopoly, also on the computer. I almost lost to the computer player that I had purposely requested be on the easiest setting, but somehow I persevered. Only to later lose again for real. I don't know how someone can lose with a Monopoly AND hotels on the two most expensive properties, but somehow I did. With that, I resigned myself to cut all gaming and read Twilight for the remainder of the evening. Have I ever told you how much I love Twilight? It's soooo good! Once again, I'm super late in jumping on a book bandwagon (it took me years before I even looked at a Harry Potter book), but I already can't wait to read the rest of the series.
Monday we went ice skating, and I didn't fall! Then I went to get my hurr and nails did. Yes, I like to say hair like hurr. It's my blog so I can. And the breaking news of yesterday was: I changed my hair color! I'm not a blonde anymore. My hair is now a chocolate brown with some reddish tints in it. Hooray. I get easily bored with my hair, and this is the second time I've completely changed colors from blonde to something else. My hair is naturally a darker ashy blonde, and I got bored with just highlighting it. So, now it's all new! We'll see how long this lasts before I get bored again.
I have nothing to do today but run some errands, go to a basketball game, and then something later on. Other than that, it will be relaxing! Quite the norm lately, but it's Christmas break! Have a good day everyone!

Cotton Bowl
The Cotton Bowl is about to start...Texas Tech vs. Ole Miss. I picked Tech in my bowl pick 'em dealy, but let's be honest, I wouldn't be mad to see a little bit of an upset :)
Yay for Dallas! Big D! It looks sunny and warm there. In fact, they just announced that it's 68 degrees in Dallas; the second warmest Cotton Bowl kickoff temp ever. That must be nice. It's sunny here, but definitely not warm. I can't wait to see what little interest pieces they throw in about Dallas during the game.
Less than one week until VEGAS! I'm excited. It will be a nice little vacation before the drudgery that is the spring semester starts on January 15th. My schedule this semester isn't terrible, if you ignore Tuesdays and Thursdays. Those days will be long. But, it's ok because I don't have class on Monday or Friday! I'll just have that much more time to sit in the library. Lucky me.
I won an "office party" at the comedy club here in Columbia. That means that me and 15 of my friends can go see comedy for free. It's cool, minus two reasons. One, it's January 2nd and no one is in town. And second, I don't really have 15 friends here. Those two factors combined mean I will be joined by maybe 5 other people. Ha. Oh well, at least it's still free, and it'll be fun regardless.
They just kicked off, have a good day everyone!

My first post!
Happy 2009 everybody! I'm not sure who all would be interested in reading my musings, but since I live kinda far away this is a good way for people to know what's up in my world. I guess this is the new Xanga? Sure, I'll take it.
So, December 31st was an interesting day. It started at about 7AM when I woke up to leave for Missouri by 7:30. I got on the road, and drove. And drove. Oh, and drove. I stopped in Pryor, OK at a McDonalds at around 11:30AM when I realized I was starving. All I have to say is, wow, that place is an experience in the...interestingness of humans. I know that's not a word, but for my purposes I'm making it one. Anyway, my cashier was Jewell, and she had some teeth. Not all teeth, just some. I paid for my 5 something meal with a 10, and she gives me thirty four dollars and some change back. I'm not sure where the extra 30 dollars came from. I don't even know what combination of thoughts would lead someone to give me an extra thirty dollars. I was nice and corrected her error, and she just laughed. Alright.
Then I continue my drive. I actually made good time and got back to Columbia around 4:30. I unloaded the enormous mass of gifts and clothes and such from my car, and then gave myself a splinter in the arch of my foot from the ugly, unsanded, unstained stairs in my apartment complex. After a disastrous start to the evening, my New Year's evening turned out quite nice. Dinner, and watching the ball drop in NY. Dick Clark was so sad to watch. Then, we expected them to replay the ball drop at midnight central time, so we were waiting, and waiting. And then we looked, and they hadn't. It was 12:01. "Oh, I guess we missed it; Happy New Year." And that was my evening.
This has been a long first entry. I hope my being so verbose doesn't deter would be readers; not all my entries will be this long. Much love!
